Another Wonderful Year!
Fri 19 Jul 2019Dear Parents/Carers,
I could not think of a better way of starting my usual ‘end of school year’ letter than by sharing our excellent 2018/19 outcomes. Performance across the whole school is (at least) broadly in line with national average (NA) and in some areas surpasses national average significantly. It can also be seen clearly using the table below that our results in almost all areas surpass Bradford average attainment (Br).
Such outcomes can only be achieved through very hard work, excellent teaching, careful marking and precise assessment. I am under no illusion that I am an incredibly fortunate headteacher: to be supported by a solid team of committed and passionate teachers and support staff.
Our Year 6 results are completely outstanding for children achieving age related expectation and greater depth in all subject areas. Last year we were positioned 6th compared with every school in Bradford for our maths progress. I think we could well have a fighting chance of ranking in the top 5 schools for almost all subjects this year when the government produces its validated data. This is testament to tremendous effort our extremely talented and dedicated Year 6 children have exhibited consistently at Marshfield. We are all extremely proud of their progress and wish them every success in their new schools.
