Ghosts and Ghouls Day
Fri 19 Oct 2018Dear Parents/Carers,
We will be having our annual ‘Ghosts and Ghouls’ themed day on Wednesday 31st October. Children can come to school dressed as ghosts, ghouls, witches or wizards etc and will participate in some ‘spooky’ themed lessons. This year the event will cost £1 per family so that we can generate funds for our library. Please bring this in on the day.
Please ensure that costumes are age appropriate and footwear is suitable. Costumes must not include:
• Pretend ‘prop’ weapons such as water pistols, knives or swords.
• Offensive or inappropriate elements.
The library and nurture room will be open for parents in the afternoon and ‘spooky’ themed workshops will be taking place. Please indicate on the slip below as to which workshop you would like to attend and we will ensure that your child is collected from class to participate with you.
1.00p.m. – 2.00p.m. – Phase 1 Workshops (Nursery, Reception, Year 1, Year 2)
2.00p.m. – 3.00p.m. – Phase 2 Workshops (Year 3, Year 4, Year 5, Year 6)
May I take this opportunity to wish you all a safe and happy half term break and we look forward to seeing you all back at school on Monday 29th October.
Thank you.
Yours sincerely
Mrs C. McDonald
Deputy Headteacher

Harvest 2018
Tue 16 Oct 2018An extremely pleasing contribution of non-perishable food items this harvest. Thank you parents and carers for your kind donations. Reverend Treasure and his team at St Oswald’s were very appreciative. I was personally shocked to learn that over a 1000 tins of food are given away each week at their ‘Food Bank.’ Delighted that Marshfield has made a difference this week! Thanks also to Miss Afzal and Miss Crossley for planning 'Operation Harvest' so splendidly.
