Marshfield Primary School ranked in the top 2% of primary schools in the country

March 2024

We’re absolutely bursting with pride here at Marshfield! Our school has been officially recognised as one of the top 2% of primary schools in the UK for the amazing progress our children are making – and we’ve received a personal letter of congratulations from Damian Hinds, the Minister for Schools!

In his message to our Headteacher, Mrs Kearns, the Minister praised the brilliant achievements of our pupils and the hard work of our staff in raising academic standards. It’s a huge honour and a reflection of everything we work towards each day – supporting every child to thrive, grow, and succeed.

Mrs Kearns shared her excitement too:
“This is a proud moment for our whole school community. It’s down to the dedication of our wonderful pupils, the tireless commitment of staff, and the support of our fantastic families. Together, we’re helping every child shine and reach their full potential.”

Being named in the top 2% out of more than 20,000 schools nationwide is no small feat – and it’s something we can all celebrate. A massive thank you to our families for being part of this journey. We’re so proud of what our school community has achieved – and we’re only just getting started!

Hey there, couldn’t help noticing you’re using Internet Explorer

That’s great and all, and we commend you for pushing through with it. Unfortunately we no longer offer support for IE; it hasn’t received a major update since 2015 and Microsoft are dropping support for it later in the year.

If you’re using Windows 10 and want to stick with a built in browser, please consider switching to Edge. Or, if you really want to enjoy the internet properly we strongly recommend downloading Google Chrome here.
