Hercules: Graphic novels
We started the year by reading a graphic novel version of the famous mythical legend: Hercules! We really got to know Hercules, Hera and Hercules' jealous cousin and we were in awe of the strength and determination that Hercules showed battling through his twelve gruelling tasks! We produced our own comic strips by using the features which the author of our class text used. Here are some examples of our work from this topic:
We really enjoyed immersing ourselves into the graphic novel theme by creating Pop Art!
Non-fiction texts: Plastic Pollution
This term in English we are focusing on non-fiction, persuasive reports. The theme we are focusing on is plastic pollution.
Ask your child about the shocking facts they have learnt regarding the damaging consequences of plastic in the ocean and the hidden problems surrounding microplastics.
We have been reading for a strong purpose in English- by educating ourselves about the dangers of plastic, we are aware of the huge need to change the way we use plastic and how to treat our beautiful planet!
Here are some of our published reports!
